JUNIOR RUGBY LEAGUE

The mighty Snowy River Bears revived junior rugby league in Jindabyne in 2025 with the establishment of our minis program designed for boys and girls aged 5 - 9 years old. For 2026, we are expanding the ages up to U11s for tackle and up to U13s for Girls league tag in the new Friday afternoon League 7's competition.
MONARO MINIS U6 - U10s
Working in conjunction with Cooma Junior Rugby League and Canberra Region Rugby League, the new minis competition will be played on Friday afternoons between Cooma and Jindabyne.

U7 - non-contact/tag (boys and girls) for the first 10 rounds and then tackle, after completing a Tackle Ready program

First Games: Friday 1st May 2026 until Mid-August
Game Days & Times: Fridays 5.15pm - 6.30pm
Game Locations: JJ Connors Oval, Jindabyne and Cooma Showground, Cooma
Training Day & Times: Monday 4pm - 6pm (various times for different age groups and depending on coaches)

NEW! LEAGUE 7's FRIDAY COMP
Play 7-Aside rugby league right here in Jindabyne on Friday afternoons during Term 2. Mixed Tackle 7-aside for kids aged 10 & 11 years old and Girls League Tag 7-aside for girls aged 11 - 13 years old. League 7's is a modified version of rugby league, tailored specifically for rural youth players. A wonderful introduction to the sport, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and fostering a love for the game within the Jindabyne area.

Playing age is your age as of 31st December 2026.
REGISTRATION: 2026 Player Registration is only $49 per player and includes Playing Jersey, Shorts, Socks, Training Top and Player Insurance. PLUS all registered players are eligible for PLAY League Rewards which gives one (1) FREE ticket (general admission) to EVERY ROUND of the NRL Telstra Premiership regular season competition (conditions apply). NOTE: Minis registration this season is now via the Snowy River Bears please search "Jindabyne" in above link. Players will play for the Snowy River Bears and will receive a Snowy River Bears playing kit once registered.
