SENIOR RUGBY LEAGUE

In 2025 the Snowy River Bears have submitted both an Open Men's (Tackle) and Open Ladies (League Tag) team in the Blumers Lawyers George Took Shield. The George Tooke Shield is a rugby league competition played in southern NSW and the ACT. Founded in 1927, the competition is a part of the broader Canberra Rugby League, a division of the New South Wales Rugby League.

Nine clubs will compete in the 2025 George Took Shield with games being played on Saturdays. Open Ladies League Tag will be played at 1.15pm, followed by the Open Men's games at 2.30pm. See the season draw HERE

Snowy River Bears senior men's and women's teams train on Wednesday and Friday afternoons from 6pm at

JJ Connors Oval in Jindabyne. New players are welcome to attend a training session to find out more about being a Bear this season.

The Snowy River Bears purchased a club bus in 2025, making the ability to travel to away competition games much easier for all.
